There is a, biography of Sir Horace Mann 1317 in the Dictionary of National Biograghx. A friend. of Horace Walpole, he was the British envoy at Florence. I recall uznierrlzaking some research on him and his family, but my notes are still in store. I think he rented Bourne Park for a number of years. many of the family papers are deposited at the Kent Record Office at Maidstone (Cornwallis (Mann) ass - Linton Paxk Estate - Ref. U24); the family were, irgter alia, related to the Baker family, owners of the Sissinghursiz Estate and Sissinghurst Castle. Thank you very much for the bookmark, which I will use with my volumes of The History of Parliaznentt wlitfiiumefiw Mammuu - M$.LCOL!!I PINHORN
