Before his death racing at Monza in the Italian Grand Prix, Count Louis conceived the idea of a 15" narrow gauge railway with his friend and fellow- enthusiast Captain J E P Howey. This dream was subsequently realised as the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway.
