Originally located in Longport, the hospital was established as a charitable voluntary institution for the sick poor, with physicians "and surgeons giving their services voluntarily. Dating from the earliest days of photography, the picture postcard offers evidence from the past of how the area has changed over the ' years. It is hoped to enlarge and screen the illustrations.
