Maurice Raraty (page vii) for persuading LLB to write this account. JCT has retained this for the timebeing
and perhaps in due course it should go into the local studies room together with a copy of the updated digital
version below. it is hoped to find a focal person with an interest in Bifrons to complete this book and publish it
on LLB's behalf.
LLB001B a USB stick containing the latest version of the book on Bifnons named Bifrons 9 contains additional material
some highlighted in red print and is known to have been work in progress for LLB in September 2015

LLBOOTB. it has page reference numbers although there are no page numbers in LBf}£J7A. Mostly about the
Conynghanrs and their position in the court of George rv including their role in his funeral. some interesting
pages on the Cult of Picloresqueicottages omees - all achieve their variety of form and outline by gables, bow
and donner windows, jettied storeys, richly—fretted hargeboards and towering ‘Tudor chimney stacks. Poss
inspired by Thomas F Hunt design books ‘i820~183O (died 1831} ‘Old English Domestic Styie'. Park gates and
[edges a speciality. p20 Bitrons Lower Lodge deemed an outstanding example

to Boys at Bifrons - this is interesting because we have recentiy 2016 have had an enquiry from a member of

August who had previously owned and renovated the Old Vicarage in Palrixbourne. Also some information on
Sir John Maxwell and his role in the Easter Rising plus a miscellany of handwritten notes.

givers. Many details of dances, balls and other social events. Also of Sir John Miller, one—lime tenant; and
Frank Penn, amateur cricketer; details of Kent Cricket matches 1719-1880. Also extensive handwritten
references to reports in the Kenlish Gazette of local events in the early part of the 20th century — between the
wars. Much on Eve Talbol's activities - she was very involved in every level of local life including the Bridge
Womens Political meetings. Ava moved away in 1939 and died in Knighlsbndge in 1951
