Folkestone in the Archdeaconry of Canterbury yeoman deceased was proved by the
oaths of William Baker son of the deceased and William Tucker the executors
therein named to whom administration &c was granted. Under £20. {PRC 3/S5 f mv]
On the 12th day of September 1849: Administration of the goods of Kezia Norrington
late of Saint Dunstans Canterbury in the Archdeaconry of Canterbury widow deceased
without issue, father and mother was granted to James Smith the natural and
lawful brother and next of kin of the deceased. He being duly sworn to administer.

[B] PAPERS IN ECCLESIASTICAL CAUSEE i75$~l799 for the Archdeaconry and Consistory
Courts of Canterbury. The material contains items on tithes, probate, defamation
of character, matrimonial disputes? faculties? petitions together with many
items arising'from the articles of enquiry and only partially dealt with by the
Comperta et Detects courts. The cause papers often include all the depositions
of witnesses and evidences. There are no indexes whatsoever for the material
during this period which makes this fascinating and extremely useful collection
almost inaccesible.
[C] DBPOSITIONS (PAPERS AND REGISTERS) 1669-1755 for the Archdeaconry and Oonsistory
Courts of Canterbury. ,Besides the wealth of detail given as an introduction by
each deponent to his evidence there is also a considerable amount of genealogical
data recorded within the depositions themselves. For instance 'ust as an example
of the detail normally found for each deponent [PRC 39/20 f 36v} Thomas Epps of the
parish of Nonnyngton has resided there for 3 years and before in the parish of
Eythorne for 1 year, before in the parish of Waldershare for 2 years, before in
the parish of Coldredd for 3 years and before in Waltham for 2 years and before in
Godmersham for 2 years and before Shepherdiswell for 3 years, born in the parish "
of Elmsted, aged 55 years. 3 March 1596/7. Once again there are no indexes for this
collection of depositions for this period.
