By public transport take the Underground to Earls Court and catch a C3 Chelsea Hopper Bus which upon-request will drop you at Lindrop Street opposite Metrostore. By British Rail Wandsworth Town is a fifteen minute walk over Wandsworth Bridge. Office Opening Times We are open Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 5.00pm. Clients should telephone first prior to any visit. There is ample free parking for clients at Metrostore whilst delivering goods for sale. Whenever possible we can arrange to visit prospective clients and collect their property. Our commission for vendors is 15% of the sum realised on properties up to £1000 and 10% thereafter. Lottage is charged at £2 per lot and insurance at £1 per cent but there ’- no minimum charge per lot. Vendors automatically receive the cat iue for the sale in which their property is included. For large consignments and important collections special rates of commission can be negotiated. Buying at Onslow's Clients can pay for and clear their lots whilst sales are in progress. There is a buyers premium of 10% plus VAT on sales. If instructed we will execute bids and advise intending purchasers if they are unable to attend sales. This service is free. Illustrated catalogues are available approximately two weeks before each sale. Admission is by catalogue only. To ensure you receive your catalogues on a regular basis we strongly recommend you take out a subscription which will avoid the risk of missing any sales in which you are interested. There are sixty-eight designs for some of the LNER's most famous posters by such artists as Tom Purvis, Fred Taylor, Frank H Mason, Austin Cooper, Frank Newbould, H G Gawthorn, Littlejohns, Graham Petrie, John Mace, K D Shoesmith, James Mclntosh Patrick, Higgins, A van Anrooy and Lilian Hocknell. Estimates range from £50 to £5000. From the printers James Haworth we have original glamour pinups of the 1950's by Louis Shabner and Edwin Byatt. Posters & Printed Ephemera, Wednesday 24 March and Wednesday 20 October at the Carisbrooke Hall, London, W2 Travel posters of the 1920's and 1930's published by the Big Four R: )ys, London Underground, Shipping Companies and Airlines continue to grow in popularity. Those featuring liners, locomotives, dining cars, aircraft, bathers, golf, field sports and those in the Art Deco style are the most sought after. Artists to look out for include Purvis, Taylor, Mason, Newbould, Cooper, S E Scott, Higgins, Pears, Lambart, Gawthorn, McKnight Kauffer, Shoesmith and Wilkinson. Both sales will contain a variety of travel posters, also advertising, Great War l'€( jug and Second World War propaganda. Advertising material such as suowcards, leaflets, trade catalogues, pictorial enamel signs and a wide range of printed ephemera also appears in these sales. "Titanic" & Maritime, Thursday 15 April at the Oratory Hall, London, SW3 Last years sale saw the inclusion of some of the most remarkable items ever offered, namely the four sets of keys of Samuel Hemming, Lamp Trimmer on Titanic which made a total of £5896. A Titanic lifebuoy brought £1870 and a doll picked out of the water by one of'the rescue ships after being mistaken for the body of a child which realise £1650. A special 80th Anniversary Exhibition of Titanic Ephemera was held prior to the sale which many attended. Past sales have seen some outstanding prices such as letters and postcards written on the ship selling for up to £3000, an admission ticket to the launch for £1100, medals awarded to the crew of the rescue ship Carpathia at around £900, contemporary accounts of the disaster by survivors ranging from £600-1500.
