A2 CANTERBRY BYPASS

l. The Department will be publishing draft proposals for the Canterbury
Bypass on Friday 18 June. An exhibition explaining the proposals will be

held at the end of the following week at the Sidney Cooper Centre, St Peter's
Street, Canterbury and I am writing to invite your Council to send a number of
elected members to a preview for local authorities at 3.00 pm on Friday 25 June.

A sketch plan is enclosed indicating the hall's location.

2. I should be grateful if you would let me have some indication of the
number of representatives who will be attending from your Council.

3. I should also be grateful if the fact that the Department is to shortly
publish proposals and the details of the preview could be treated as confidential

until 18 June.
