A walk with an incentive Forty-five youngsters set out on Friday from Canterbury Cathedral to walk the 60 miles to St. Paul's Cathedral. The incentive was £300. While rain poured down nine of the members of the Ayleshnm Baptist Youth Club carried on and arrived in London at 3 p.m. on Saturday. They were walking for spon- sors, whose contributions went to pay off the debt on the Ayle- sham Baptist Hall. Although a number dropped out on the way, all the sponsors paid up and the debt is now paid, with extra money going towards Youth Club equ pment. The walk was organised by the Rev. Keith Clarke, Baptist Minister and youth leader, and his wife was sponsored for the highest amount — 17/8 :1 mile. One of the walkers, 16-year-old John Kyle, persuaded 60 of his workmates to sponsor him for 1d. a mile each and the others collected from family, friends and colleagues. Before the walkers set out on Friday Canon H. M. Waddams led prayers in the Cathedral.
