The scene at the party on Friday given for the matron of The close Hospital, Bridge. Mrs. Lucie Urwin, and Mr. Urwin.

They are leaving The close to take up an appointment at Bensted House Hospital, Faversham, when The close becomes a
residential home for geriatric patients at the end of this month.

Mrs. Urwin was presented with a portable hairdressing set by K.c.c. nursing staff and patients at the hospital at the party.
Also present were many of the volunteer helpers at the hospital.
