Hubert Knight, Vicar of Patrixbourne and Bridge, died on Thursday night last week Mrs.-Knight came to Patrixbourne Vicar- age, when her husband was appointed wear of the combined parishes of Patrixbourne 33°! Hubert Knight, Vicar of Bridge ' and Patrixbourne. Mrs. Knight, who was 72 years of age. came to Patrixbourne in 1897, in which year "husband"*b1=fcam’e’ Vicar and throughout those years she closely identified herself with the work of the j parish, where she was President of both the Women’s Institute and the Mothers’ Union, and took a great inter- est in the people of the Bridge Institu- tion. She closely identified herself with every good cause in the parishes. At the funeral, which took place at Patrixbourne Church on Tuesday afternoon, many came to pay their last respects and the beautiful little church was filled to over- flowing. The Archdeacon of Can- terbury (Canon E. H. Hardcastle), assisted by Canon R. U. Potts, of Kingston, conducted the service. Among the hymns sung were, “Jesu, L "r of My Soul” and “Abide with N\-/'- Psalrn xxiii was also sung and the Nunc Dimittis chanted.
