ge and music TWO 1st Bridge Guides have won honours in a regional arts fesitval. Earlier in the year, the London and South East England Girl Guides invited entries for a festival of creative art, to include photo- graphy, design, writing, music and dance. Emma Field, aged 14 years who attends Barton Court School, and_ festival prizewinners EmmaiField (left) and Lucinda Spencer with the 1st Bridge Guide Company. Words Lucinda Spencer, also 14, who is at the Archbishop’s School, entered and both won awards. Emma wrote the words and music for a song suitable for a '- religious festival and Lucinda wrote 500 words on The,Best Day of my Life ._..So Far, , ‘ Tho best musical items from all entries were chosen to form part of the Festival Concert in the Guild- hall in London on Saturday, June 6, and Emma‘ performed ‘her Christ~ mas Carol in front of an invited audience. , Lucinda’s story won first prize in its section and was on display at the Guildhall for the same event. , Emma was the only Guide per- forming from the Canterbury area.
