Chairman Elizabeth Stewart, thanked the committee for its support and Joyce Hopkins who sells diaries each year. She reported that the position of vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the League had now ' been taken by Prof Stewart Field following the sudden death of Adair Roche. During 2004 the Nailbourne Group received £2,066 in subscriptions, donations and Gift Aid tax refunds together with £1,486 from fund- raising and other income. Having £7,530 in hand at the start of the year, the group was able to pay £7,536 for gifts to the hospital and have £3,300 available to spend on further gifts in 2005.
