Neighbourhood Watch: Retiring co-ordinator Selwyn Lewis says a volunteer has been found to take over from him, but a change may have some bearing on that decision. So until the person agrees, he will not release the name. Fu.ture production of the newslet- ter has been put on hold. Two local residents offered sponsorship to en- able the newsletter to be produced but owing to a change of circum- stances that sponsorship must en next month. ‘ . This unexpected problem has caused him to consider in which way the distribution might continue, especially as it would be unreasonable to expect one person to produce 300-plus copies each time. A probable solution might -be to make use of e-mail addresses. If a sufficient number of people were prepared to let him have their e-mail address, agree to produce a few copies of each issue, say up to 10, and distribute the newsletters to people in their locality, that might be a solution. If you think that you can help with the distribution of the newsletter as outlined above, please send your offer to the following email address. llnsel@tesco.net Fish Scheme: One aspects of the work of this neighbourly help group in Bridge, Patrixbourne, Bishopsbourne and Bekesbourne is to give lifts to the hospital and doc- tor for people who would otherwise have to try to tackle public trans- port where it exists, or use taxis. As everybody is busy the scheme can only work if there is a large number of volunteer drivers. If you are already helping you will know how satisfying it is to be able to help, however occasionally.
